A TREMENDOUS FINISH AT LINCOLN GOLF CLUB CAPS A LANDMARK FIRST SERIES THAT DREW NEARLY 5,000 SPECTATORS ACROSS FOUR COURSES — WITH EXPANSION TO SIX EVENTS CONFIRMED FOR 2027.

The inaugural CaddyComps Blitz Golf England Series reached a thrilling conclusion today at the beautiful Lincoln Golf Club, with Nick McCarthy holing a dramatic winning putt to claim the final event of a landmark debut series - which has been a runaway success, attracting almost 5,000 spectators across four incredible courses. The crowds and support have been phenomenal throughout; and the series is poised to grow to six events in 2027.

ROUND 1: THE SIX-HOLE BLITZ

Nick McCarthy, a finalist from Blitz Leeds, set the standard in the opening six-hole blitz, leading at two under par. He was chased by Fraser Moore and local favourite Rob Harris at one under with Moore announcing himself in style, opening with an eagle on his very first Blitz hole. A seven-way nearest-the-pin (NTP) shootout was then required to settle the last five places in Round 2, with Blitz London winner Josh White and fellow series finalists Austin Bautista and Jordan Wrisdale all advancing.

ROUND 2: THE THREE-HOLE BLITZ

The three-hole blitz produced a logjam at the top, with five players tied at one under: Michele Forgione, Charlotte Brook (a finalist from Blitz London), Nick McCarthy, Josh White and Fraser Moore. In the resulting five-way playoff, it was Moore who narrowly came up short. The round also served up a moment of pure entertainment, with Brian McFadden heading to the Stadium Hole tee to the sound of one of his own songs blaring out - much to the amusement of the crowd, and McFadden himself.

THE FINAL: ONE HOLE ON THE STADIUM HOLE

The single-hole final on the Stadium Hole saw all four finalists find the green. After misses from Josh White, Nick McCarthy and Charlotte Brook, Michele Forgione was left with an incredible chance from four feet. It was a real pressure moment but one he was unable to seize, sending all four players back to the tee for a replay.

In the replay, it was McCarthy who struck his tee shot to six feet. Charlotte Brook and Josh White both missed, before Forgione had a shot at redemption only for his eight-footer to come up short. That left McCarthy with a putt to close out the event. The ensuing effort horseshoed around the cup and threatened to spin out, before dropping to the applause of a sensational crowd. A hugely popular and well-deserved champion to crown the series finale.

A LANDMARK FIRST SERIES

The Lincoln finale brought the curtain down on a hugely successful inaugural CaddyComps Blitz Golf England Series. From the record-breaking debut in Leeds to the Father’s Day in the West Midlands, the twilight spectacle in London and a nerve-shredding finish in Lincoln, the series delivered week after week combining elite professional talent, household names, celebrities and influencers in a fast, fan-first format. With nearly 5,000 fans through the gates across four venues and expansion to six events already confirmed for 2027, Blitz Golf’s arrival on English soil could hardly have gone better.
