EVENT THREE OF THE CADDYCOMPS BLITZ GOLF ENGLAND SERIES LIGHTS UP LONDON, DRAWING RECORD CROWDS TO A FIRST-EVER NEW EVENT IN A TWILIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA.
The CaddyComps Blitz Golf England Series arrived to the capital in style, with the third event of the series drawing record attendance for a new venue. Staged as a brilliant twilight event — Bush Hill Park provided the perfect stage for a thrilling night of golf. The field boasted some big names, with football favourites Jimmy Bullard and Jamie O’Hara and golf influencer Lucy Robson joining a top contingent of professionals from Australia, England and even Peru.
ROUND 1: THE SIX-HOLE BLITZ
Two-time Blitz champion Zach Murray and Josh White set the early pace, sharing the lead at two under par after the opening six-hole blitz. Football legend Jimmy Bullard and Andrew Marshall were right in the mix at one under. For the first time this series there was no tiebreaker required, with a clean cut line at one over par.
The standout moment of Round 1 belonged to Bullard, whose monster birdie putt ignited the crowd and sparked chants of “the Bulldog” around the course.
ROUND 2: THE THREE-HOLE BLITZ
The three-hole blitz featured a tempting risk-reward short par four that had played havoc in Round 1, with the water carry troubling many in the field. Austin Bautista seized the moment, opening with an eagle, while Charlotte Brook saved her fireworks for last, making eagle on her final hole to lead Round 2 at three under.
Legend Simon Khan and Josh White also progressed at two under. Remarkably, for the first time in Blitz Golf history, no nearest-the-pin (NTP) shootouts were required across either Round 1 or Round 2. Andrew Marshall and David Cooper were unlucky to miss out on the final at one under.
THE FINAL: ONE HOLE ON THE STADIUM HOLE
The single-hole final on the Stadium Hole saw every player find the green. Charlotte Brook was first to miss, followed by Simon Khan, before Austin Bautista stepped up and nailed his 12-footer. That left Josh White needing to match it to force a playoff — and he returned serve in style, rolling in his own mid-range putt.
Bautista and White headed back to the tee, and this time, after Bautista missed, White had a chance to win — only for his putt to narrowly slide by, setting up a nearest-the-pin finale. Bautista was first to play and struck an excellent shot to around seven feet. White knew exactly what was required and saved his best for last, firing a stunning shot to around four feet to claim a memorable victory.
